On behalf of all the member organizations of the Canadian Coalition for Retirement Security (CCRS), please accept our congratulations on your election as Canada’s 23rd Prime Minister. We wish you well in dealing with the many issues that are facing all Canadians.

The Canadian Coalition for Retirement Security (CCRS) is comprised of 22 organizations, representing over five million working and retired Canadians. Attached is a list of CCRS member organizations.

Our purpose is to ensure the protection of the accrued pensions and benefits of active and retired members of defined benefit pension plans. We are committed to finding solutions to pension security and would be happy to work with the government to this end.

I would welcome an opportunity to meet with you or your representative to provide you with an overview of the Coalition’s mission and vision, and the challenges to pension security.
