WHEREAS many seniors live well below the poverty line, and
WHEREAS many seniors cannot afford to have their taxes done by private tax agents and cannot manage the online version of tax filing, and as a result they turn to community organizations that provide this service without cost, and
WHEREAS the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) provides minimal support for volunteers in the community (i.e. webinar training and older computers).
That NPF urge the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to properly fund the volunteer income tax clinics in the community including the provision of paid coordination at the sites where the services take place.
