The Canadian Transportation Agency acknowledges that aging Canadians can have similar challenges to persons with disabilities when travelling by air, land or sea.

The CTA is holding in-person and online sessions for organizations and/or individuals to present their concerns and recommendations.

The schedule for these hearings is attached.

New provisions of the Canada Transportation Act, which were added by the recently-passed Transportation Modernization Act(External link), mandate the CTA to develop regulations setting out airlines’ obligations with respect to flight delays and cancellations, denied boarding (bumping), tarmac delays, damaged or lost baggage, seating of children with parents or guardians, the transportation of musical instruments, and communication with passengers.
