Canadian Dental Coverage Plan Update

ALERT: Annual renew advisory for your Dental coverage
If you enrolled in the CDCP before May 1, 2025, you needed to renew your coverage before June 1st, 2025, to avoid a gap in coverage.
If you did not submit your renewal application by that date, your coverage will end on June 30, 2025. You can still renew your coverage after the deadline, as long as you and your spouse or common-law partner (if applicable) have filed your 2024 tax return and received your 2024 Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency. However, you will likely face a gap in coverage and oral health care services received during this period will not be covered nor reimbursed. You will be informed of your new coverage start date. Renewal process for existing CDCP members
- Since March 2025, current CDCP members must take action to renew their coverage under the plan to confirm they remain eligible for the CDCP.
- CDCP members must have filed their 2024 tax return and received their 2024 Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency before renewing their coverage at canada.ca/dental, in My Service Canada Account (MSCA) or by telephone.
- They will also receive a letter from the Government of Canada to inform them that they need to renew their application.
- It is important that individuals complete their 2024 tax return as their CDCP renewal application will only be assessed once their 2024 Notice of Assessment is issued by the Canada Revenue Agency.
- The last day to renew without a potential gap in coverage is June 1, 2025. Once the renewal process is completed, the individual will receive a letter confirming their eligibility for the new benefit period valid until June 30, 2026, and any changes to their co-payment (if applicable) based on their 2024 adjusted family net income.
